The last few months...

We've been pretty busy, adjusting to this two kids thing. Between taking care of a new baby, the holidays, family visiting, a wedding, and going back to work, I haven't done much blogging lately. I'm going to play catch up using pictures instead.

Mom left her mission in Mexico City for a couple weeks to help me right after Ben was born. It was so great to have her here.

We blessed Ben at the Sunday before Christmas because a lot of Jason's family was in town.

I have a brother and sister who live in Folsom with their families. It is fun for my kids to get to know all of their cousins.

Luke turned 2! Just in the last couple weeks, he has started to talk a lot more. We have him in both speech and occupational therapy to help him develop his speaking skills and it seems to be paying off now. He isn't where most kids are his age, but he now imitates sounds when we say words, something he wouldn't do even a month ago.

He loves playing with Ben's toys.

They have matching shirts. Luke was clearly unhappy about getting his picture taken.

And this is the best we could do.

Jason got a membership to a children's "museum". The first day he and Luke went, they ended up being on the news.

We went to an aerospace museum because Luke is enamored with helicopters and airplanes. He was more scared than excited to see everything in real life.

And very not happy to sit in this plane

He wouldn't sit in this cockpit until Jason got in with him

Ben and I hung out together

Luke did really like this Vietnam War helicopter

And he LOVED playing in this WW2 plane. He ran up and down that aisle (which was steeper than it looks in the picture) over and over again.

We made it to San Luis Obispo and Pismo Beach with some friends from Chicago. We had such a great time.

And we went to the saddest aquarium in America. This was the seal tank. And there were about 4 seals in that little area. But we got to feed them dead fish, which was kind of fun.

Jase and I went to my sister's wedding in Dallas, sans babies. Jason's mom flew to Sacramento and watched them so we could enjoy the wedding.

Jason got a new job, but it is a hundred miles away. So we got ourselves a shiny new car.

This is Luke's new favorite seat in the house. Jason is a good sport about it.

Luke can be really loving. Sometimes, he climbs up onto the couch and snuggles into my arms.

And this is our Benjamin! At his last doctor appointment, he was perfectly average, 50th percentile in everything. He is strong enough to roll over, but is too uncoordinated to do it regularly. Typically, he lifts himself up into the air using his right arm and left leg and then gets mad that he can't turn over. At this rate, he'll crawl before he rolls.

  1. So fun to "catch up" and see all you've been up to!! Although I'm surprised you didn't mention the most noteworthy occurrence in recent months...that Jordan Catalano won an Oscar. I think that deserved at least one picture. ; )
