Apple Hill

A few Saturdays ago, we went up to Apple Hill. It's a series of farms up the highway about 45 minutes. They specialize in apples and apple products, but they also have other fruits, local crafts, and other gimmicks to get you to spend money. We went up with my brother and sister and their families. We had a great time and we spent way too much money on apples, apple pie, apple cider, and apple cider doughnuts. Oh, and fudge.

They had a little play area at one of the farms that Luke seemed to enjoy.

There was a cute little train that went around a pond at another farm. We forked out the money for Jason and Luke to ride it. Luke seemed pretty excited to ride the train. He knows all about trains from watching Thomas and Friends.

We also paid the quarter to be able to feed the goats. Luke was actually pretty freaked out by the goats. I don't know if you can tell, but it took 3 adults to get him to let the goat eat out of his hand in this picture.

One nice thing about living in California is that we live within 10 minutes of both my brother and sister, both of whom have a bunch of older kids. It's nice to finally live close enough to family for Luke to get to know his cousins. They seem pretty excited to have him around too.

My brother's kids are playing with Luke. They let him crawl under their legs like this. After he had cleared one of them, they peeled off and ran towards the back of the train so he had plenty of legs to crawl under.
