Jason found cheap tickets to this little kid gym place so last week we brought Luke there to play. It was pretty cool. It had a bounce house, a toddler sized rope course, several playhouses, toddler sized jungle gyms, and slides. However, Luke was very tentative at first and would only play right by us. Whenever we brought him into the bounce house or ropes course, he would nestle into Jason and refuse to get down . But he eventually warmed up. At first he just bounced around on the floor by us.

| Then he found some big bouncy balls and starting playing with those. |
| And then he found more |
| He loves holding as many as he can at once. He tried to carry the bigger green ball from the picture above and an orange ball, but he just couldn't pick them both up. He settled for 2 orange ones. |
Then we brought him to an enclosed area for the littlest kids, even though Luke wasn't that little compared to many of the kids there. He was just being timid. He played in that area for a while.
| He loved sitting in these horseshoe shaped foam things |
| Jason set up obstacle courses and houses for him to explore |
| Don't mind if I do |
| Luke got me up at some insane hour that morning and I was tired. I lied on a bench while Jason played with Luke, who thought it was hilarious that my eyes were closed. He just had to come check on me and make sure that I didn't forget about him. |
| Then we went to the block area. He enjoyed this for a decent amount of time |
| Helping him build towers |
| He hit his head on a table and was super sad |
After a while, we got him to warm up to almost everything else. He even went in the bounce house for a while, but I didn't get any pictures. We have one more free day there, so we're going to try to go back before we leave Chicago.
Have I mentioned before that we're leaving Chicago? Probably not. I'm horrible at announcing things until they actually happen. We're leaving Chicago around Labor Day and moving to Sacramento, where my job is. And we're buying a house, and so far the process feels sort of like a having month-long root canal.
