Children's Museum

A couple weekends ago we went to the children's museum out in the suburbs. Luke had a great time. However, I think if he had been 1-2 years older, he would have been more interested. He spent most of his time in the littlest kid section that had the type of toys you would find in a standard LDS nursery. He did enjoy a few other little exhibits though.

He spent about 1 minute doing this.

And I still managed 6 pictures (and am only sharing 2)

He thought this was pretty cool. You could move the glow sticks around on the grid. He wasn't quite coordinated enough for it though.

Again, spent about 2 minutes with this. Mostly just stacking and re-stacking the blocks.

He was a little creeped out by all the mirrors.

He LOVED the bubbles.

Especially when he figured out that he could pop them.

Again with the water

He loves the water.

He got soaked playing by this giant trough thing-y.

Spent a surprising amount of time turning these wheels (a whole 5 minutes).

My boys in the crawl space.

Watching the trains. We live a block away from a train. Every time we're outside and a train goes by, he has to watch it and make sure that we acknowledge that there is a train and that he's excited by it.

Trying out the see-saw. It was a bit difficult because the kid on the other end was twice Luke's size.
There were lots of other cool exhibits, but we didn't even stop because Luke would take one look at them and then start chasing the golf  ball on the floor. Plus, all the 5 and 6 year olds were more aggressive about their turn on those exhibits.

  1. Yes a BBQ would be fun! I'd love to meet your husband and child (no, I never have!).
