We had a pretty busy day on the Fourth. We went to an early matinee of
Brave, and even brought Luke with us. It was his first movie and he did really well. He slept for most of it and then woke up at the end. He just yelled loudly at the screen a couple times and then just sat and watched the rest of the time. Before we got to the theater we were worried he would annoy the other patrons. But when we got there, there were already 3 other babies in the theater. We figured that even if he did start crying, no one would be too irritated with us. We've decided to try going to more early matinees in the future.
After the movie, we went to a barbecue with some friends in the ward. We couldn't stay the entire time though because we had tickets to the White Sox game. It was a pretty fun game and the Sox won in the tenth inning. We sat at the very top of the stadium and you could see the entire suburb skyline behind us. I tried to count all the different fireworks shows going on behind us out in the suburbs, but lost track after 30. Each little suburb was having their own fireworks show and we could see them all (albeit from very far away). After the game, the White Sox lit their own Fourth of July fireworks. It was fun to have the day off and do some fun things together.

| I love how blue his eyes are, especially in that blue outfit |
| This was Luke's reaction to the fireworks. It was a little bit past his bedtime. |
| Considering how non-fancy my camera is, I'm pretty pleased with it's ability to take pictures of fireworks. |
| We really were at the very top of the stadium. Hence, the rafters blocked some of our fireworks. |
